Bond’s Trip to the 2016 Ontario Universities' Fair

On September 23rd, Bond’s Grade 12 students went with their teachers to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to attend the largest annual education fair -- Ontario Universities' Fair, where they talked personally with the professors, current students and senior university admissions officers from 21 Ontario’s universities.

Bond students were able to find out about programs of interest, student life and campus information, and admissions requirements through the universities’ booths as well as their presentations.

“The Fair is very educational and informative.” said Stacey, a Bond Grade 12 student, “After talking with different universities’ representatives, I now know which university and program I will be aiming for when I apply.”

“I’m interested in an English Literature program. Just now, I talked to professors and admissions officers from the University of Guelph. I decided to apply for a Bachelor of Art in English at the School of English and Theatre Studies next year. With their encouragement, I am confident if I aim high, I can receive a scholarship.” said Coltrane, a Grade 12 student at Bond.

Larry Lv, one of Bond’s alumni, is currently a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Ontario Institute Of Technology (UOIT). He came to the Fair this year as a Student Representative for his program at the UOIT booth. Larry said that he talked to some Bond students and answered some of their questions, “they showed interest in studying my program at UOIT, and I look forward to meeting many Bond graduates on my campus in 2017.”
