Bond Tradition: Annual Terry Fox Run

On October 3rd, students and teachers at Bond participated together in one of our annual traditions: The Terry Fox Run.

“What Terry Fox did was a miracle.” said Royal Carney, Athletics Director at Bond. “All the Bond students and staff ran or walked through this neighborhood in Scarborough, to contribute to the Marathon of Hope. The route is 2.5 km in total, and it is around our local community.”

In order to continue Terry Fox’s legacy and help keep his dream alive of finding a cure for cancer, Bond students showed great dedication and enthusiasm for this worthy cause. “We believe that by participating in this event the next generation will understand, appreciate and remember who Terry Fox was and all that he stood for.” Mr. Carney added.

A big thank you to all our staff, students and parents for the great support. You made the 2016 Terry Fox Run another memorable moment for Bond.

“I just wish people would realize that anything is possible if you try; dreams are made possible if you try.”
