Bond Competed in the U20 Indoor Soccer Tournament

On November 3rd, Bond’s U20 Soccer team went to the Toronto City Sports Centre to compete in the Under-20-year-old Indoor Soccer Tournament.

“We have many new players on the team this year, and they have been improving since the beginning. We had two wins and two losses in the playoffs, and I was happy to see the three goals that we had during the last game.” said Mr. Vonk, the U20 Soccer Coach and a Secondary Teacher at Bond. “The team has come together as a good team because they support each other.”

Mr. Vonk mentioned that it’s been a great experience to see the players develop on this team, and that is the most rewarding part of the whole process. “The boys really played hard. Some of them still need to practice passing the ball more frequently in the field, but I believe we can do better next time.” he added.
