Remembrance Day Ceremony at Bond

On November 11th, the students and staff of Bond Academy and Bond International College attended the annual Remembrance Day ceremony, and showed our appreciation to the veterans and people who still serve for Canada.

The ceremony commenced with the school band performing “O Canada”, as all in attendance stood in respect. The melodious voices of the Bond Junior and Senior Choirs touched everyone and reflected the wish for world peace.

A poem named “New Generation Veterans” was ready by two Bond Grade 9 students, Michelle and Aidan.

This year, Bond invited Corporal Jeremy Burns from 1st Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, as the guest speaker to give a speech during the ceremony. He shared his own experience of serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan from October 2009 to May 2010.
