Bond Grade 10 Civics Class Visited Ontario Legislative Assembly

On November 16th, the Grade 10 Civics and Careers class embarked on a tour of the Ontario Legislative Assembly. The tour included a walk through of the building and museum exhibits, an interactive session in the Chamber gallery, and an election simulation designed to illustrate the issue of voter apathy.

Throughout the experience, students learned about the roles and responsibilities of MPPs, with reference to the concepts of political parties and the electoral process, and the roles and responsibilities of key parliamentary figures with reference to the legislative process.
