Awareness of Cyber Bullying and Information Sharing

As the online community grows quickly nowadays, the rate of criminal behaviors grows along with it. The question of “How to protect our children from online danger?” becomes more challenging.

On November 16th, a Toronto Police Officer came to Bond and gave a presentation to our Grade 6 to 8 classes. The topic was “Cyber Bullying and Information Sharing on the Internet”. She talked about some real cases, and emphasized to the young students the importance of not sharing personal information online, in order to avoid and reduce the possibility of getting harmed.

This event was organized by Bond Teacher Ms. Chhabra, and it was a component of the Character Education program focusing on personal safety and harassment on Social Media.
