Voting for Bond Mock Civic Election

On December 20th, Bond’s annual mock election was held by the Grade 10 Civics Class. All the teachers and students were invited to vote.

According to Greg Macri, the Civics Class Teacher at Bond, there were five parties up for the mock election, including: GWM represented by Miko, Equal Wealth Federation represented by Kevin, Better Brighter Canada by Indio, Better Living Today by Bobby, and RSSP represented by Ziao. Each party needed to write their own campaign speeches, create posters and commercials.

The student leaders mentioned that every team member contributed and worked hard together. During the process, they learned a lot about Canadian politics.

After hearing the speeches of all five party representatives on December 19th, students and teachers voted for who they felt could represent Canada effectively in the coming years. What an exciting experience!
