Bond Played in the U20 Indoor Soccer Tournament

On October 27th, Bond’s U20 Soccer team went to Toronto City Sports Centre to play against other private schools in the Indoor Soccer Tournament. Four teams played on the two half fields at the same time.

“Our team should’ve won the first game during playoffs in the morning if the players remembered how we practiced before. Our team played better in the second one; we tied 4 to 4, and that was a game that reflected their training and skills.” said Mr. Vonk and Mr. Peters, the soccer coaches at Bond.

The second soccer game was dramatic. For the first half of the game, Bond was 3 goals behind. Then after working together, the boys got one goal. The second goal Bond got was unbelievable as the goalie threw the soccer ball directly into the other gate.

Everyone on the team got encouraged by cheering for this rare moment. Shortly after, Bond got the third and fourth goals. The other team also played well, and at the end the score was a 4 to 4 tie. In total, there were eight goals within a 20-minute game. What a match!
