Congratulations to the 23 students, who participated in “The Canadian Open Mathematics Contest”. All Bond students received honours and/or certificates. Bond also participated in the Canadian Senior Mathematics contest. Twenty-six students wrote the contest with half receiving Certificates of Distinction for scoring in the top 25% and two receiving medals for highest achievement.

  Bond Academy Annual Skating Party
  On January 28th, 2015, all students in Grades 2 to 8 went to “Don Montgomery Community Center” for our annual Skating Party. Lots of parents, staff and 8 local police officers participated in the activity this year. It was a great opportunity for students to enjoy skills for a lifetime and have a fun afternoon on the ice rink.
  Student Project of Human Development Research
  The students in the course HHG4M (Human Development Throughout the Lifespan) conducted research through interviews with adults, children and adolescents, thinking about their own developmental stages and supporting or disproving existing theories and perspectives. Hands-on experience in solving various problems was priceless!
  Grade 8 Bake Sale for Graduation Trip
  On January 22nd, the Grade 8 students hosted a bake sale at lunch time. Many baked goodies including cookies, cupcakes, and brownies were served. This is an ongoing fundraising program. The students are making these fundraising efforts toward their Grade 8 graduation trip. Good job Bond and thank you for your support!
  Dinner Movie Night for Charity
  The Junior Council hosted a Dinner Movie Night On Friday January 25th as a fundraiser in support of their charity “Breakfast Clubs of Canada”. The evening commenced with a Pizza dinner followed by a movie in the gym, complete with a concession stand! It was a very successful event, and the Junior Council earned $250.00 for their fundraising efforts.
  Grade 8 Students Intro to Secondary Day
  On Wednesday, January 14th, Mrs. Levine's Grade 8 Bond Academy Elementary class was invited by Bond Secondary to participate as a Grade 9 student for the day. The goals of the day was to familiarize the Grade 8 students with Grade 9 to highlight Bond's Secondary programs and showcasing our talented teachers, delivering engaging, hands-on lessons, in an enjoyable learning environment.
  SSAF Tournament Wrap-up
  Bond students did excellent job at the beginning of this year, competing in four different divisions and two sports. So far, Bond has a winning record: Our Girls U20 Volleyball team is 4 wins 1 loss, Girls U14 Volleyball team is 7 wins and 1 loss, Boys U20 Basketball team is 5 wins and 1 loss and the Boys U14 team Basketball team is 6 wins and 1 loss.
