The Under 12 basketball team played in their final tournament February 5th. We won the banner for a second year in a row and defeated each of our 7 opponents by an average of 25 points per game. Bond won by a score of 28-4 in the championship game over TMS. It is not the score of the games that matters but rather the journey that these 11 incredible players have taken.

  Lunar New Year Ski Trip!
  On February 19th, Bond College celebrated the Lunar New Year by skiing and snowboarding at Dagmar Ski Resort. It was perfect for beginners as well as experienced skiers or snowboarders. Ninety students braved -25 degree weather and many students attempted skiing for the very first time. The trip was chaperoned by 10 Bond College teachers who skied or snowboarded with groups of students, helping to instruct and keeping the spirits high.
  U14 Girls Volleyball Team Is The Champion!
  Congratulations to the girl’s elementary volleyball team on winning the 2015 SSAF Volleyball Championship! The girls played amazing as a team and demonstrated tremendous heart coming from behind in the final game to defeat Town Centre Montessori School. The girls continue to demonstrate how focus, discipline, leadership, and teamwork lead to amazing results. Well done.
  Grade 4 Field Trip to the AGO
  On Friday, February 20th, 2015, Bond Academy’s Grade 4 students went on a field trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario. They viewed the first-ever major retrospective in Canada of the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat. It was an excellent opportunity for them to view the original paintings, along with many more, and gain a deeper insight into the artist and his works, through discussion and understanding the motivation behind the individual paintings.
  Talent Show and Starving Artists
  Bond Academy had its annual student Talent Show on Friday, February 27th, 2015 in front of parents and staff. The show highlighted both individual and group talent that participating students at Bond have developed on their own time, outside of school. They auditioned in front of teachers earlier in February. The Talent Show was also held in conjunction with a fundraiser, fasting event and sleepover to help support The Breakfast Club of Canada.
