On November 18th, Bond Academy hosted a monster-themed Scholastic Book Fair Family Night which included a delicious pasta dinner and a variety of contests and games. Students and their parents were invited to enjoy this fun Family Night together.The contests included a Bean Bag Toss, a Monster Mash Freeze Dance, A Monster Craft Table, a Monster Ball Game and a Gumball Guessing Game.

  Bond Launched an Events Calendar
  Thank you to the Bond Parent Council for their wonderful suggestion for an events calendar. As a result, Bond is pleased to announce the launching of our Events Calendar on the school’s website! Embedded in the Bond website, the Events Calendar provides the parents with a day-by-day calendar of the extracurricular events, special events, sports practices and games, as well school wide events.
  Bond Dodge-ball, Game On!
  On October 23rd, many students and teachers were excited to watch a very unique Dodge-ball match in the gym at Bond. Seven Bond students played against seven of their teachers! The game started with great excitement from the audience in the gym. One group in the audience cheered for their classmates and friends, and another group cheered for their favorite teachers.
  Bond in Top Four at U14 Flag Football Tournament
  On October 28th, the Bond Elementary School, along with ten more schools, participated in the Co-ed Elementary Flag Football Tournament held by the Iceland Sport Complex in Mississauga. The players on the Bond Elementary Flag Football team are from Grades 6 to 8. For most of them, this was their very first time to play in the tournament as well as play against teams that were older and stronger.
  Bond Charity Club Attended “Uncover Our Creeks”
  On October 30th, students from the Bond Charity Club participated in the “Uncover Our Creeks” event. The students accompanied by Mrs. Huryn and Mrs. Lidakis, teachers at Bond, traveled to the University of Toronto Scarborough campus and met with the Evergreen event coordinators.
  Halloween Parade at Bond
  Did you enjoy Halloween this year? Which costume was your favorite? On October 30th, a special parade took place at Bond. This is how Bond annually celebrates Halloween! This year, you could meet batman and bat-woman, spiderman, superman, Captain Cook, pretty angels, tigers, lions and so many more during the Halloween Parade at Bond Academy.
  Bond Mock Civic Election, Let’s Vote!
  On November 3rd, a special election was held in the Grade 10 Civics Class at Bond International College. All Bond students and staff were encouraged to vote after visiting each party’s booth and talking with the candidates.
  Grade 9 at Bond, A New Adventure!
  “How is Grade 9 at Bond?” many Grade 8 students ask this question. In order for them to have an idea, on November 5th, they were encouraged to join the Grade 9 Day and experience the classes with other Grade 9 students at Bond. “Grade 9 Day is an annual tradition at Bond. It is a continuation of our efforts to build a stronger sense of community between our Elementary and Secondary students.” said Phil Davies, a Bond Secondary School Teacher.
  Remembrance Day Ceremony
  On Wednesday, November 11th, the students and staff of both Bond Elementary and Secondary schools attended the annual Remembrance Day ceremony and showed appreciation to the people who served or still serve for Canada.
  Bond Partnered up with Nanjing No. 13 Middle School
  This year is the 30th anniversary for celebrating the friendly relationships between Ontario in Canada and Jiangsu Province in China. On November 6th, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne lead her second China Trade Mission and visited Nanjing and was welcomed by the Vice-Premier of Jiangsu Province Jinrong Xu and his colleagues. The mission focused on science and technology, and agriculture sectors, as well as partnerships in education and health care.
  Canadian Universities Visited Bond
  In order to help students understand the admission requirements of the Canadian universities, Bond International College has been inviting the Admission Representatives from different universities to visit our campus, and gave informative presentations to our students about their admission requirements, programs, scholarships and campus life. Guess who came to Bond from mid-October till now? Let’s take a look!
  Mug Painting: Getting into the Holiday Spirit!
  On Monday, November 23th, a special art class was held at Bond Academy. This time, there were no textbooks, only mugs; there was no note-taking but, instead, painting colours. This was a holiday Mug Painting art class.
