On April 1st, Bond Chess à Classique Musique Tournament took place on campus. Many candidates from Bond Elementary and Secondary competed against each other during the Chess Tournament. According to Ms. Judy Johnstone, a Bond Elementary Teacher and Co-organizer of the event at Bond, the Chess Tournament is one of Bond’s annual events.

  Bond Math Club Qualifying Test: Are You Ready?
  In order to encourage more students who are good at or are interested in math to have more opportunities to develop, the Bond Math Club organizes qualifying tests on a regular basis. On March 30th, the Bond Math club had another qualifying test to provide students the opportunity to join the club.
  Bond Grade 10’s Visit Spadina Museum
  On April 6th, the Bond Grade 10 students had a field trip for their history class. They visited Spadina Museum, Toronto’s only museum to represent the 1920s and 1930s. They learned about the Great Depression and Canadian History since World War I. Bond students enjoyed the informative session at Spadina Museum, and learned from the instructor that the 1920s and 30s were a time when Toronto experienced increased immigration.
  Bowling Fun Day!
  On April 8th, students from Bond’s Elementary and Secondary school participated in the annual Bowling Tournament. This year is the 10th anniversary of the Bowling Tournament. According to the organizer of this event, over one hundred (100) bowlers attended this year’s event compared to only a dozen bowlers in the initial year of the event.
  Bond’s Senior Choir Sang for the Toronto Marlies Hockey Game
  On April 8th, Bond's Senior Choir sang the Canadian national anthem for the Toronto Marlies hockey game. The choir wowed the audience singing in two-part harmony and with difficult rhythmic entries. Their performance appeared on Leafs TV and the arena jumbotron.
  Bond Speaker Series: "Keeping Our Kids on Track"
  On April 13th, another session of the Speaker Series was held at Bond. Thanks to the Bond Parent Council, the guest speaker Ms. Laurie Jantzi was invited to give a workshop about "Keeping Our Kids on Track: Supporting Our Kids with Executive Functioning."
  Teachers vs. Students Volleyball Game at Bond
  On April 15th, Bond had a special Teachers vs. Students volleyball game organized by the Prom Formal Committee. A few Bond Secondary teachers, including Mr. Persaud, Mr. Carney, Mr. Quigley, Mr. Boldt, Mr. Papini, Mr. Keetch, and Ms. Sosnowicz, played against the Bond under 20 Girls’ Volleyball team.
  Bond Competed in The First Round of Badminton Tournaments
  From April 19th to 21st, Bond Badminton teams attended three different first round tournaments with students in the under 20-year-old, under 14-year-old and under 12-year-old categories. The teams competed against other private schools from Toronto. All the players were divided into different groups based on their grades.
